Solista size comparisons
.453 - Wonderful response, flexibility much like the Martin Committee
.460 - Straight ahead full bodied fluid sound. Lead!
.470 -Rich elegant powerful sound. My easiest trumpet to play

All Solista Professional trumpets have:

4.876 inch one-piece  light-weight Hand Hammered Yellow Brass Opt. 4.75"
Valves - Boxed brass springs with Monel with brass guides
Saturn Water key  - Tuning  slide
Nickel Silver Outer - Tuning tubes.

The elongated heavy receiver has a edge to lip distance of 1.41"  if your mouth piece deviates from the standard Morse taper in less than 1.41" you will not be able to insert it properly. This applies to a small percentage of mouthpieces and is easily accommodated by your local repair person trimming the "fatter" section to the Morse Taper.
Or by using the new Harrelson Gap Adjustment Kit

The latest in technology. You need more endurance. You want a solid sound, an in-tune horn, a horn you can play for Church, School, Combo jazz, Big band, Civic band, Theater and  Orchestra, and of course Solos.

You want one horn that will give you the ability to modify the overtones - brighter, darker, centered or more spread. You love the idea of everything in one / Saturn water key.

What does it sound like?

The tone is a rich blend of the traditional Bb with the clarity of the lightweight custom horns. It's named SOLISTA because this instrument will do what you want it to do.
It brings out creative creative side!

Why is the Receiver so large and long?

This is a Revolutionary design for the receiver section. A heavy extended length receiver that "swallows" more of your shank!

The result is more direct transfer of energy to the horn. Giving extreme stability, eliminating wasted vibration, GREATLY ENHANCED ENDURANCE.

Each Solista is custom fitted to your playing needs.

Each Solista is hand crafted and then fine tuned by gRawlin to provide optimum performance. This includes synergy valve alignment. Allowing each valve to enhance the other two. Custom fine tuning gives the Solista the most even timbre from top to bottom of any horn you've played. Bore and balance adjustments as dictated by buyers playing-style and special requests.

Orders accepted with minimum $900 down and balance at Time of Shipping.

Just a public (unsolicited) plug for George's work with these Solista Trumpets.

After trying these horns (the .460 ad .462)... there are some things that really stand out: The response of these horns (response on the attack) is incredible. I would venture to say better than any horn I've ever tried. The overall "sound" of the horn is rich & brilliant... with a "shade" of "Bach-like" qualities (to me ear and feel).

These are very good instruments - if you haven't tried them, you should.

I'm looking forward to giving the .453 a spin also... when I get a chance. Thanks, George!
